Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas – Height, Tickets, and Fun Facts

An unwritten rule of hotels on the Strip is that they charge a resort fee and that it includes a unique attraction. Bellagio has the famous dancing fountains, next to the New York-New York hotel, you can ride the roller coaster Big Apple Coaster, and The Strat offers adrenaline-filled fun on its rooftop. The Paris hotel stands on a quieter plot, featuring a replica of the Eiffel Tower, which stands 540.0 ft tall.

History, Height, and Interesting Facts About the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas

Construction of the Paris Las Vegas hotel complex began on April 18, 1997, and it was initially planned for the Eiffel Tower to be a faithful replica of the original at a 1:1 scale. However, plans were altered due to the nearby airport and its related security regulations. Instead of 986 ft, the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas was built at a 1:2 scale and stands just 540.0 ft tall.

Nevertheless, the tower offers a beautiful view of the city, especially after dark, and the observation deck is accessible to both hotel guests and non-guests. Every 30 minutes from sunset until midnight, a light and music show is projected onto the tower’s surface.

If you’d like to extend your time in the tower or get engaged in the City of Sin, you can book a table at a French cuisine restaurant. The Eiffel Tower Restaurant is located 100 ft above ground and offers a romantic ambiance with stunning views.

The Eiffel Tower is not the only Parisian landmark replicated in Las Vegas. Next to the hotel, you’ll also find the Arc de Triomphe, a hot air balloon modeled after the Montgolfier brothers’ design, and several other buildings familiar from the city of Paris.

The replica of the famous tower appeared in the poorly rated disaster movie 2012, where, along with much of the Strip, it was completely destroyed.

💡 My Tips for Enjoying Your Visit

The observation deck of the Eiffel Tower offers stunning views in practically every direction. For the best experience, I recommend planning your visit to catch the Bellagio fountains show on the opposite side of the street. After dark, you’ll also get a beautiful view of the illuminated Sphere.

To reach the top of the tower, a small elevator will take you up, and you can enjoy the view for as long as you’d like. Afterward, simply take the elevator back down. The observation deck is surrounded by a wire fence, with several openings to make it easier for photography.
